{The Pooch}

The pooch...its here. I wish I could blame it on the baby, but I am thinking since I am just shy of 9 weeks and showing is not really an option yet, I think it is probably the 2 bagels I ate this morning, then the hamburger and fries I ate for lunch and the handfuls of starbursts I just ate as a snack. Oh yeah, and probably not working out for the past 6 weeks isn't helping either. Ughh! I am having trouble keeping my pants buttoned!

Maybe I am crazy, but the second I can blame a pooch on a baby, I am blaming the pooch on the baby!!! ;-)

As for the doppler, is there one you could just go use like every 2 weeks or whenever you wanted to? I know for us, trying to save up for fun baby things, I'm not sure we'd want to pay $45 per month...

I really want to get a doppler, too, but I don't want to pay the money! I'd do it if I had the cash flow, though.

Here's my view on things- You have a pooch because you're eating alot FOR THE BABY- and because you're bloated BECAUSE OF THE BABY, therefore, it is a BABY BELLY :) At least, that's what I keep telling myself!

I think you can get one pretty cheap on Ebay... definitely for less than 45/month - over 7 months that will be like $315.

Check out: https://www.dynamicdoppler.com
or http://www.babybeat.com/

They may be cheaper.

I got a pooch super early on in my pg but then it just stopped. I think mine was due to all the fertility meds. But either way!
As far as the doppler, we didn't get an expensive one that you can hear things early on. We went to babies R us and got one for like $30.00 I think. It works great if you hold it low on your stomach towards the lower right side. The box even said to do that. The only problem is with this one you may not pick up the heart beat until sometime in the second tri-mester. Its more of a fun thing to have and like I said it was inexpensive and you own it but you just have to be patient for it to start working and don't freak out if you don't hear something.
I've never had the nice rentable dopplers. If you get one of those post how it does, I'm curious??
